Curriculum Overview
The residency program is structured around four-week rotations, with a total of 13 rotations per academic year. This format ensures that residents gain comprehensive exposure to a wide variety of internal medicine subspecialties while developing the expertise needed for autonomous practice.
Individualized Training Opportunities
To foster personal and professional growth, each resident has the opportunity to choose 6 rotations—including selective and elective rotations—based on their specific needs, interests, and career goals. This flexibility allows residents to tailor their training experience, whether pursuing a specific subspecialty or gaining broader clinical exposure.
PGY 1 Year Rotations
General Medicine (3 blocks), Critical Care (2 blocks), Cardiology, Women's Health/ POCUS, ED, Anesthesiology/Addiction, Multidisciplinary Team, Night Float (2 blocks), and Ambulatory Month. Continuity Clinic days are scheduled throughout the year (2 days per block) except when on Night Float rotation.
