Even if you have health insurance, you may still need to pay for some costs your health insurance plan doesn’t pay for. Understanding what you’ll owe and planning ahead can help reduce stress later.
If you have questions about your bill or what you’re responsible to pay, call the location where you received care.

What if I do not have health insurance?
If you don’t have insurance (also called a “self-pay patient”), you’ll need to pay a deposit before receiving care, unless it’s an emergency.
You’re considered a self-pay patient if:
- You don’t have proof of valid insurance and none is on file
- You’re requesting services your insurance doesn’t pay for
- You’re using a plan we don’t accept, or you don’t have a required referral or authorization
If you are not prepared to pay for services and charges received before your scheduled, non-emergency visit, or you have not made a payment plan with one of our financial counselors, your appointment may be rescheduled.
Self-pay patient deposit amounts:
- New patient office visit: $250
- Follow-up office visits: $125 per visit
