What is HIPEC?Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) combines surgical and medical cancer treatments in one procedure to treat metastatic abdominal cancers. First, visible cancer cells are surgically removed, and then the abdominal cavity is “bathed” in heated chemotherapy for approximately two hours.
