Art Workshops with Detroit's College for Creative Studies

Led by a College for Creative Studies instructor, discover the balance between representation and abstraction in this immersive course focused on the expressive potential of acrylics. You will learn to simplify the natural world into evocative shapes, textures, and atmospheric layers using a variety of modern color-mixing and application techniques.  Get ready to channel your creative energy into a fresh, finished piece of art each week. Open to all community members. 
Class meets Wednesdays, July 1st-August 5th (6 sessions) at Henry Ford Cancer- Brownstown.

This creative ceramics workshop offers a peaceful space to explore the tactile art of clay, fostering connection through shared expression and mindfulness. Participants will work side-by-side to learn foundational pottery techniques, transforming raw materials into personalized, handcrafted forms. Whether you are a beginner or experienced artist, this session is designed to encourage relaxation and meaningful community interaction in a supportive environment.
