Birthing Basics 2-Day Rochester

This is a series of 2 classes held on consecutive weeks taught by one of our L&D nurses. The expectant parent and partner are invited to attend these sessions to prepare for labor, birth, and postpartum.

We offer a variety of class options, so if you are not able to attend one of these sessions, please look for other in-person and online childbirth classes.

Topics include:

• Stages of labor and delivery
• Relaxation
• Breathing techniques
• Labor coping skills
• Medical interventions
• Newborns
• Postpartum Care
• Tour of Labor & Deliver
• Each family will receive an Injoy Understanding Birth Book and Web App.

Class Notes:

• Feel free to bring some snacks and drinks.
• Please bring 2 pillows and either a blanket or yoga mat with you
• Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for class–both participants will be moving in this class!
• Classes will be held at the Henry Ford Rochester Hospital, classroom 2 B&C. Parking in the main (North) lot is free and closest to the classroom.
